Abstract: In view of the existing problems in calculation methods of urban rail transit platform width, the platform area is rationally divided, and a new calculation method of urban rail transit platform width is put forward on the basis of reasonable single passenger queue density. Then, targeted at the rail transit station in operation. The new calculation method of urban rail transit platform width is verified to be more reasonable than the calculation formula in current "National Metro Design Specification" in China.
