Abstract:
In order to achieve better match between urban railway dispatcher and job requirements, it is necessary to determine the influencing factors on the occupational adaptability of dispatcher, and establish the selection criteria for dispatchers. According to the job characteristics of dispatchers, the concept of occupational adaptability for this professional job is defined, and the core tasks of dispatchers are analyzed and decomposed based on information processing theory. By using the Vienna Test System, six elements of vocational skill requirements for dispatching job are clarified, 93 dispatchers of Shanghai Metro are tested, 11 indicators are calculated related to the distribution, mean and standard deviation values. Then, based on statistics theory, 6 skill standards and 11 quantified indicators are defined. By analyzing the compliance between skill indicators and setting standards of each dispatcher, the occupational adaptability of him or her is determined. This method has a certain reference value on post selection, post evaluation and career planning for railway dispatchers.
