Abstract: The impact of urban rail transit on land development along railway line has become one of the hot topics in the industry. Taking the rail transit in Tianjin City as an example, and based on the geographic information system (GIS) database of land use along the railway line, the land use changes along railway lines before and after the rail transit line opening are qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed through a combination of horizontal and vertical comparisons. The impact of urban rail transit on the development of land use along railway line is clarified, the development law of land use along the railway line is explored.
