Abstract:
The elevated urban rail transit line has advantages of low investment, short construction period, low construction difficulty and operating cost, as well as good line adaptability. Therefore, the selection of platform type for elevated station has become the main concern of designers. Through analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of island platform, side platform and fish belly platform from aspects of engineering construction, station functions and passenger convenience, the applicable conditions of different platform types are discussed, and passenger flow prediction is considered as the basis for the selection of platform type. On the premise of satisfying long-term passenger flow and tidal passenger flow, the side type, fish belly type and standard island type stations are recommended in turn.
