Abstract: Traction motor bearing damage is one of the frequent problems occurring during transportation of mutro vehicles by automobile and is the cause of abnormal noise that happens in train operation. Taking vehicle production turnover process into consideration, the causes of traction motor bearing damage were analyzed; the problems of traditional bearing protection scheme were analyzed; the improved bearing protection scheme was introduced, the applicability of which was verified through actual case. The on-line inspection results of bearing have shown that the bearing was in normal condition and the traction motor bearing damage problem didn′t occur during transportation by automobile.
