Abstract: The ideas and steps for building and promoting the TPM (total productive maintenance) management system in Qingdao Metro Vehicle Department are elaborated. A TPM management system with automatic train cleaning machine and non-falling wheel chain bed is initially build. Through assessment, the comprehensive utilization rate of automatic train cleaning machine and non\|falling wheel chain bed is proved to be 85% and 90% higher respectively than expected.Key wordsurban rail transit; vehicle equipment; TPM management system
