Abstract: Conducting post occupancy evaluation（POE）on guiding signs of urban rail transit with eye-tracking technology,and evaluating whether the guiding signs meet user demands is a new type of design evaluation method.Taking the case of Changchun Metro Line 2, methods including quantitative measurement, data statistics, visual analysis and user interview are adopted to obtain eye movement data such as heat point map,fixation frequency,moving route in the process of visual interaction between users and metro guiding signs in different scenarios. With this basis,guiding signs of Changchun Metro Line 2 are evaluated.Adopting POE for urban rail transit guiding signs builds a bridge of information communication between users and designers, feedback of usage problems and improvement advices can be submitted,promoting a more scientific and reasonable guiding sign design,and realizing the coordination and balance among users,guiding signs and urban rail transit environment.
