Abstract: Based on the analysis of the effective length composition of arrival and departure lines of urban railway stations, from the principle of setting the security protection distance, two sets of schemes to shorten or yield the security protection distance are put forward, which will reduce effective length of arrival and departure lines, providing practical value in reducing the project investment of urban railway underground stations and the amount of the demolition work in urban area, as well as in shortening the construction period.
