Abstract: To study the influence of different permanent magnets on the control characteristics of high power direct drive permanent magnet traction control system, two types of permanent magnet motors are designed, that are samarium cobalt and rubidium iron boron The characteristics and basic control strategies of both permanent magnet motors are discussed, on the basis of which, both permanent magnet motors are analyzed in depth. Stability and reliability of the system are verified by connection and coordination tests.
