Abstract: With the rapid development of social economic integration in the region of Guangdong Shantou Chaojie gold triangle, intercity link demand tends to be more urgent. Planning the construction of the intercity rail transportation network of Guangdong and to realize the Chaoshan Jiecheng district center city "half an hour commuter circle", and East Guangdong "one hour traffic circle", has important significance in public transport of East Guangdong providing quick intercity passenger transport service. Shantou station is the main passenger station in the Eastern Shantou Chaojie Railway area. Within the planning year, several lines such as coastal high speed railway and Eastern Guangdong intercity railway will be introduced into Shantou station successively. According to Shantou station road network node function orientation and passenger train operation plan, the features of multiple lines being introduced into intercity railway are coordinated. Targeting aspects including regional passenger transport layout, transportation organization efficiency and turn back operation pattern, from the perspectives of station scale, the yard layout, turn back line layout, the reconstruction scheme of introducing intercity railway to Shantou station is studied.
