Abstract:
In order to reduce the unbalanced distribution of waiting passengers on metro platform, the waiting area selection behavior of passengers on metro platform is studied. The concept and dividing method of platform waiting area subdivision are put forward; the influencing factors of passenger waiting area subdivision selection are analyzed; the waiting area subdivision selection model based on Logit model is established. Based on the survey data of Qibao Station of Shanghai Metro Line 9, the model is calibrated and verified. Research results show that the following five factors, distance between passengers and waiting area subdivision, accumulated waiting passenger number at platform entry, waiting area subdivision relative passenger congestion, waiting time coefficient and platform visual field have significant effects on the choice of waiting area. The model can well simulate the distribution of passengers in waiting area on metro platform. Results can provide theoretical basis for passenger flow organization and facilities layout optimization of the platform.
