Abstract: The 24-hour operation of urban rail transit at home and abroad is introduced. The practice procedure of 24-hour operation of Suzhou Rail Transit line network is expounded. The advantages and challenges of urban rail transit 24-hour operation are analyzed indepth, and specific implementation suggestions are proposed on the basis of 24-hour operation practice. Urban rail transit 24-hour operation plays an important role in boosting local nighttime economy, however careful organization is needed to balance the relationship between the continuous operation and line maintenance.
