Abstract: Due to its unique laying method, right of way form and operation mode, tram has strong networking operation demand and flexible operation characteristics. To meet the operation demand, taking the Huangpu District Tram Line 2 (Xiangxue Station-Nan′gang Station) project as an example, based on the operation characteristics of the tram, optimal design is proposed for auxiliary lines including link line, entry/exit line, turn-back line, crossover, parking line according to the existing design specifications, and the key points of the tram auxiliary line design are summarized.
