Abstract:
Through galvanic corrosion tests, the current density of the galvanic pair formed by TC4 titanium alloy, carbon steel and aluminum alloy is measured, and the galvanic corrosion properties between TC4 titanium alloy and dissimilar metals are studied. Test results show that serious galvanic corrosion is prone to occur when TC4 titanium alloy is in direct contact with carbon steel and aluminum alloy. The galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals can be effectively reduced by applying epoxy primer or assembly paste.
