Abstract:
Objective: To meet the requirements of metropolitan area integration and the publictransportoriented commuting needs of railway passengers, it is necessary to optimize the spatial design of existing city railway station areas. Method: Based on the study of the connotation of publictransportoriented railway, the connotation of publictransportoriented railway is expanded from the original single level of operation to various levels of region, city, station area, station and transportation. Shanghai Jinshan Railway Line Chunshen Station is compared with JR Tokaido Line Totsuka Station (Japan Railways Group), and the spatial problems of city railway station areas in China are analyzed from station area accessibility, function integrative capacity, and space integrative capacity three aspects. Based on this, planning and design strategies that are conducive to improving the publictransportoriented degree of city railway station areas are proposed. Result & Conclusion: From the station area spatial perspective, the optimization of city railway station area spatial design should focus on planning site selection and urban synergetic development, stationcity spatial integration diversity, station area traffic means mixed aggregation, station area spatial scale reduction, slow transport connectivity improvement, and the industry standard coordinated innovation, to enhance the city railway publictransportorientation level.
