Abstract:
Ground disturbances caused by metro construction can result in stress redistribution and land deformation of foundations. Improper control of these factors can lead to consequences such as tilting and damage to buildings. Older buildings with structural aging and extensive renovations face significant challenges when a metro shield tunnel passes beneath them, requiring more complex control measures. Therefore, it is necessary to study the key technologies for shield tunnel underpassing complex buildings.Method: Taking Zhengzhou Metro Line 5 as example, a simplified calculation model of the buildings is established for numerical analysis of the deformations caused by shield tunneling. Differentiation settlement control values and deformation control measures for buildings during shield tunneling are proposed.Result & Conclusion: During the shield tunnel underpassing process, the maximum measured differentiation settlement values for Building 23, Building 11, and the comprehensive building are 5.8 mm, 5.3 mm, and 5.5 mm respectively. Some fieldmeasured values approached the data alert state compared to the differentiation settlement control values, but the differentiation settlement values of the overall buildings are within the acceptable range. When compared to the calculation simulation results, the fieldmeasured results are significantly lower, demonstrating the effectiveness of the reinforcement measures implemented during construction.
