Abstract:
In recent years, URT (urban rail transit) surrounding constructions frequently cause damages to existing line tunnel structures or undermine operational safety, thus it is necessary to strengthen the management of various construction activities within the URT control and protection zone that may impact the safety of URT structures and operations.Method: Taking the construction project of a new underground passage closedistance overspanning Guiyang Rail Transit Line 1 and Line 4 at close range in Guiyang City as example, a safety protection scheme is introduced and deformation control standards for existing rail transit structure are established. By establishing a threedimensional numerical model to simulate construction working conditions, the deformation and internal force impacts of the new underground passage construction on existing rail transit structure are analyzed. Special monitoring for the safety protection of rail transit structure is conducted.Result & Conclusion: The foundation of the new underground passage adopts the ′hidden beam + pile foundation′ structure, and measures such as excavation with bracing and antithrust construction are taken to protect the existing rail transit structure. The numerical simulation results of existing rail transit structure deformation are consistent with the fieldmonitored results. After implementing safety protection measures, the deformation values of the existing rail transit structure are below control standards. In the safety management of construction work within URT control and protection zone, measures such as refined design, onsite construction control, and special monitoring for safety protection can ensure the structural and operational safety of existing rail transit system.
