Abstract:
Objective: It is aimed to study the dynamics response of metro shield tunnel under train operation load when different surrounding rock reinforcement schemes are adopted for soilrock composite strata of Karst areas, and to evaluate the reliability of different surrounding rock reinforcement. Method: Based on the results of Karstspecific field investigations and finite element (FE) analysis, taking the Liandajie Sta.Wujiaying Sta. shield tunnel interval of Kunming Metro Line 4 built in Karst area, a FE model is established corresponding to metro shield tunnel in soilrock composite strata od Karst areas. The cumulative settlement of the tunnel after 100 years of operation is analyzed. Result & Conclusion: All the surrounding rock reinforcement schemes can reduce the displacement, stress and acceleration of the metro shield tunnel under train dynamic load, among which the external surrounding rock wholesection grouting reinforcement scheme performs the best. When the surrounding rock is reinforced by grouting on both sides of the tunnel, the tunnel settlement after 100 years of operation may not meet the requirements of uniform settlement. To ensure the safe operation of metro shield tunnels in soilrock composite strata of Karst areas, the reinforcement scheme of fullsection grouting on the outer side of metro shield tunnel is recommended.Key wordsmetro; shield tunnel; surrounding rock reinforcement; dynamics response; train load; longterm settlement
