Abstract:
Objective The first phase project of Wuhan Optics Valley Ecological Corridor Tourist Line(abbreviated as "Optics Valley Sky Rail") is the first suspended monorail transit line officially put into commercial operation in China. All elevated stations along the entire line adopt the design concept of "every station unique scenery", it is essential to conduct design research on these stations.
Method The station structures are all prefabricated steel frame systems featuring a "bridge-building separation" layout. To determine a rational structure form, the interrelations among stations, bridges, and vehicles are analyzed. Structural design and seismic analysis are conducted for the prefabricated steel frame station bodies. Solutions and preventive recommendations are proposed for critical construction challenges. A comprehensive benefit analysis is also performed for the prefabricated steel frame system adopted in the station structures.
Result & Conclusion Research results show that the station structural design scheme is rational, with all calculated indicators and analysis results meeting regulatory requirements. The innovatively designed guideway track installation device demonstrates minimal installation error and is widely praised for its performance. The use of prefabricated steel structures can reduce the construction period by approximately 25%. The proposed solutions to critical issues and the relevant recommendations are highly targeted. This design scheme can support the promotion and application of green prefabricated steel structures in rail transit projects and provide valuable experience for future suspended monorail system design.
