Abstract:
Objective The construction of smart stations for Jiaxing Suburban Railway aims to address issues in traditional model, including high operating costs, insufficient service efficiency, coarse energy management, and gaps in safety management-control.
Method Based on a four-dimensional breakdown of traditional station operations, the substitution and supportive effects of smart station functions on station operations are analyzed and the integration of job functions is explored. In combination with the actual conditions of Jiaxing Suburban Railway, a quantitative analysis is conducted on business reshaping, management division, and personnel allocation based on smart station functions. A new operational management model is established, characterized by intensification, intelligence, visualization, and refinement.
Result & Conclusion The construction of smart stations for Jiaxing Suburban Railway comprises three main categories—station operations, passenger services, and intelligent operation and maintenance—covering a total of 16 sub-functions. Following the deployment of smart station systems, station personnel can be reduced by approximately 36%, energy consumption lowered by 25%-30%, station operations digitally transformed with flattened management, passenger services made more user-friendly, and safety control enhanced. Operating costs are effectively reduced, supporting the sustainable development of Jiaxing Suburban Railway.
