The Contradiction and Unification Between Urban Rail Transit Operation Safety and Revenue Efficiency

Abstract
Operation safety and revenue efficiency are the keen focuses of urban rail transit industry, the two of which develop in different aspects while complementing each other, unifying under the overall purpose of providing high quality service for passengers. However, several contradictions and blind spots exist on the boundary of their definition. On the basis of analyzing the definition and causes of accidents, the contradictory yet unified relationship between safety and efficiency is delivered, and the methods and exemplary cases for solution are proposed.
