Effect of Axial Force Adjustment of Servo Steel Struts on Axial Force of Adjacent Struts and Enclosure Structure Deformation of Foundation Pit in Soft Soil

Abstract
The effect of the axial force adjustment of the servo steel struts on the axial forces of adjacent struts and excavation deformation of the foundation pit is investigated based on the field test of axial force adjustment of servo steel struts. The results show that, along the horizontal and vertical directions, the axial force of adjacent steel struts decreases with the increase of axial force of the adjusted servo steel strut, and increases with the decrease of adjustment, displaying linear relationship with influence range of maximum 10 meters vertically. The enclosure structure deformation can be effectively controlled by reasonably increasing the axial forces of the servo steel struts. However, the enclosure structure will develop “kick-type” deformation under excessive axial force of the struts. Setting up ordinary steel strut between two servo steel struts has smaller axial force.
