Research on Turn-back Scheme and Capacity Improvement Based on Typical Station

  • In view of the problem of mismatch between the transportation capacity demand and the transportation volume in the operation of urban rail transit, to meet the demand of high-density traffic organization, to relieve the operation pressure, a line capacity improvement scheme is studied, which is a flexible combination of receiving and departure sequence by adjusting the controllable operation time of the train at the turn-back station, without changing the original civil wiring, as well as the safety protection and block design of the signal system. Taking a typical station of Shanghai rail transit as an example, analysis and study are conducted, and further suggestions on traffic organization are delivered.
