Analysis of Operational Risk and Emergency Rescue of Medium and Low Speed Maglev Railway
-
Abstract
Based on the composition and driving principles of medium and low speed maglev trains, the risks existing in the operation of medium and low speed maglev trains and the impact of line laying methods on emergency rescue are listed. Combined with the specifications, different rescue facilities and different emergency rescue schemes are analyzed. Based on the field investigation of Beijing Maglev S1 Line and Changsha Maglev Express, a comparative analysis of the rescue facilities and rescue schemes of the two lines is conducted. Results show that the evacuation platform is an efficient emergency rescue facility, but when the distance between the stations is long, set of escape staircases should be provided to assist the escape. After an accident with a medium and low speed maglev train, train′s own ability to rescue should be primarily considered; when the accident is urgent or the maglev train cannot move, passengers can be evacuated along the line direction through the evacuation platform, and then the failed train can be rescued. The emergency response plan for ice and snow disasters should be further optimized to reduce their impact on the normal operation of the line while ensuring safety.
