Train Cable Service Life Assessment Based on Accelerated Life Testing
-
Abstract
Objective As a key component of train operation control and power transmission, the status of train cable performance directly affects the safety and reliability of the train. Traditional cable evaluation methods rely on empirical analysis and regular inspections, making it difficult to accurately predict the failure risk and failure time of cables. To achieve a scientific assessment of train service life extension, it is necessary to conduct a quantitative study on cable lifespan. Method A cable life assessment method based on ALT(accelerated life testing) is proposed: first, the cable failure mechanism is analyzed, the sampling object is determined by stress level calculation; then, the life assessment rules are established, and finally the assessment conclusion is drawn based on the ALT results. Result & Conclusion ALT can effectively simulate and accelerate the cable aging process in actual service, and accurately determine the remaining service life of key cables. This method can provide a scientific basis for cable maintenance and replacement, as well as vehicle service life extension assessment, while providing a reference for reducing the train′s full life cycle maintenance cost.
