Key Technical Pathways for Near-zero Carbon in Elevated Stations of Suburban Railway Xitang Line—A Case Study of Yaozhuang Station

  • Objective Elevated stations of city railways are critical nodes within urban rail transit networks, the near-zero carbon construction of which plays an important role in achieving the 'dual-carbon' goals. Therefore, it is necessary to study the pathways for realizing near-zero carbon in elevated stations.
Method First, by investigating and analyzing typical domestic and international cases and the carbon emission levels of similar projects, the overall research objectives and technical pathways are defined. Then based on industry development and relevant industrial policies, and considering the characteristics of Yaozhuang Station, the applicability of various technical measures is assessed to design a near-zero carbon scheme. Finally, simulation calculations are performed to determine whether the scheme meets the near-zero carbon target, and the design is selected accordingly.
Result & Conclusion  A design approach that integrates expanding sources and reducing consumption is proposed and various technical measures are applied to achieve the goal of near-zero carbon emissions during the operation period.
