Summary of Safety Measures for Later-built Projects Passing beneath Existing Extra-high-voltage and Ultra-high-voltage Overhead Lines

  • Objective When later-built projects pass beneath existing extra-high-volage (EHV) and ultra-high-voltage (UHV) overhead lines, relevant laws, regulations, and safety requirements issued by the electricity authorities must be satisfied.
Method Using the scheme of the Jiashan–Xitang city railway passing beneath 500 kV / 800 kV / 1000 kV EHV and UHV overhead lines as the background, the key points that require attention when later-built projects cross underneath existing EHV and UHV overhead lines are summarized.
Result & Conclusion  Under the premise of meeting the relevant laws, regulations, and safety requirements of the electricity authorities, the project scheme should be optimized across all phases—from preliminary planning to implementation—to ensure smooth project execution.
