Coping Strategy For Urban Rail Transit Enterprises in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has become a major public crisis of global concern, having severe impact on global economy and society. Urban rail transit, as the main force of urban public transport, is also facing great pressure. Based on the quarterly survey of “The Impact of Novel Coronavirus Epidemic on Urban Rail Transit Enterprises” conducted by China Urban Rail Transit Association, the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the construction, operation and resource management of urban rail transit enterprises is analyzed, and the coping strategy and experience for urban rail transit enterprises are summarized. With the normalization tendency of the pandemic, relevant suggestions of necessary precaution countermeasures are put forward from the perspectives of government, industry associations, enterprises and passengers in response to COVID-19 pandemic.
